This Maplewood client, inspired by the High Line in NYC, wanted a garden that would catch the wind with movement, texture, and color
This client in Maplewood, NJ, was inspired by New York City’s High The client drew his inspiration and vision from New York City’s High Line, an elevated public park stretching along Manhattan’s west side, famous for its evocative, meadowy tapestry of texture, color, size, shape, and species. To enhance the garden’s existing foundational structure, we planted additional grasses to create the look of a thicker, breezier backdrop that would sway in the wind. Celosia, heliotrope, and asters form a rolling, flowing mosaic of foliage and flowers in eye-catching contrast to the tawny and sage tones of the grasses behind.
