Garden Makeover in Purple and White
A garden makeover using a purple and white palette proved to be exactly what was needed to promote the natural beauty of this home’s facade in Maplewood, NJ.
This stellar porch needed a garden transformation to help it shine. The client wanted to show off the striking wraparound architecture, and to look out from the porch and see waves of color. We started by tearing out overgrown shrubs and then planted trim and tidy boxwoods for a green foundation that revealed her home’s beauty. Next came perennials that would dance on those breezy porch days: Russian sage, scabiosa, salvia, catmint and veronica. Lastly, we planted purple, pink and white annual varieties of Angelonia, zinnias and vinca to create more elegance and softness.
